Realign your body, build strength and flexibility!
Lydia Morton’s Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program is a 200 hour course of study and practice. There are no experience or knowledge prerequisites for this course...only a deep comitment to oneself. Students of all levels are encouraged to use this course to either begin or continue a journey of personal acceptance, and to develop or enhance yoga student or teacher competencies.
The program begins with the principles and practice of Ashtanga/Vinyasa yoga, a dynamic, energetic sequence of postures that creates internal body heat, thereby promoting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing. Ashtanga is an “Eight Limbed” system that has followed traditional teachings for thousands of years.
It then focuses on Slow Flow Yoga, a style developed by her teacher, Jonny Kest, and passed on to her with his blessing. This form of Hatha Yoga uses the complete yogic breath and closed eyes to focus attention inward. This combination brings great ease to the body, as it releases tension that is often the root cause of illness. In addition, the students will study the philosophy of yoga and develop a meditation practice. This Teacher Training Program is registered with Yoga Alliance ( www.yogaalliance.com )providing graduates the ability to become Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT).
