Along with our new prices for College and High School Students, I wanted to provide a forum for our Yoga Community to share thoughts, ideas and questions about Yoga, Meditation, Health and any other subject. Please join the Lafayette Center for Yoga Blog and Let’s Talk Yoga. Lyd

Hi Lydia. I think a blog for your yoga center/practice is an exellent idea. So many times I have to rush out of class to see about the kiddo, work, etc… and never get to ask you whatever question is on my mind or just talk yoga! So, I hope this blog finds participants and it becomes another way to build a yoga community. See you soon. The asthma monster has found Beck again, so I’ve been home from work and staying in. Finding it very difficult to practice at home this week:-(

Thanks for your response, Annette, it’s so good to hear from you. I think of you often and miss you in class. But I know you have other responsibilities. I hope Beck recovers quickly. He has at least one thing going for him – a great MOM!
I know it’s challenging to keep up a home practice. Remember that even 10 minutes of focused breathing and simple stretches can do a lot to change your mood and your day. Sometime I think I don’t have time or just plain don’t feel like practicing, but if I commit to at least 10 minutes it does help. A practice of honesty with respect and dignity is always a place to start, and helps maintain continuity. Just do the best you can at the time and that will be awesome.
Thanks for writing. See you in class. Be happy. Lyd

Lydia and Michael, just wanted to thank you both for giving me a forum to simply let go and just focus on me for a short time. Yoga is such a great gift to yourself—- body, mind, spirit, and soul. Lydia your words are very inspiring sometimes I wonder hhhmmm did she creep into my mind because lots of times you say such the right thing that I needed to hear at that moment. Funny how the universe sometimes just works that way. Namaste :)
